Found this awesome axe stuck in a tree! Glad it wasn’t actually IN the tree. Had to have been there for many years.

Thanks guys. The history on these old plumbs is pretty cool. I still have to get a new handle, as the “original” is too far gone to use safely. But man, it is some HARDENED metal! My flat files just skate the edge. It’s a heavy little bugger too! Awhile back I had got most of the surface rust off with a wire brush and steel wool and put a coat of bar oil on it. Shined up pretty good.

Some pinkie sized ones under the bark of the ash, the chicken went berserk when I tossed 'em to them.
One of them bit my leather glove and just dangled off my finger, I guess it's chicken poo by now.
