Here’s an 064 with a small compression bump.

Here’s a stock 7910 other than unlimited ignition.

I’m surprised that 064 didn’t walk away from the 7910. They looked pretty comparable. Maybe in bigger wood it “wood” be a different story lol.

They are both basically stock
With the advantage going to Dolly with the updated crank.

7910 had a better chain.

Deep low grunt, not a high pitched scream.

Is cotton wood much softer than ash?
From the videos I'd say yes, but I am not familiar to those two wood species.

I will have some play time with my Dolmar's in large beech, just waiting for the acquaintance to give me a call.

Cottonwood is much softer than ash. Grows like a weed around here. Smaller stuff cuts fast, larger wood loads up the chain and can bind. Very stringy. Weighs a ton wet but dries up light like a sponge.
