Thank you sir.
If I didn't buy several gallons at a time, I may try and get a thinner oil when it was colder outside. But I'm usually working out in the garage this time of year anyway, so it doesn't really bother me to just mix a couple cups into a 3/4 full jug of oil and shake it up.

I am going to try some. So you mix 3/4 bar oil to 1/4 diesel? Or just add a little bit at a time? Custom make it. Lol

Depends on how cold and how thick the oil is. No directions, no science. Thin it out a little and try it. If it needs more......

Carlton’s book says on page 36 but as said before just depends on how cold it is and your oil manufacturer . So I just go with and a bit and mix . I’ve added to much before and had to get more oil , also as winter passes I just add some more oil to dilute the kerosene or what ever you use.

Edit I added the wrong file, I’ll change it after supper

I’ve added the Carltonsafty man it’s on page 36:):):)

I”ll leave the other file so”s you can browse it there maybe summink of interest

He is kind of an a$$, maybe that's why I don't mind him.
Just one reason its hard to have sympathy for falling out of a tree IMO. That and acting like your *s-word dont stink. Maybe were saying the same thing lol. Just dont care to waist my time on someone like that... you know what they say about opinions though...

Just buy a thinner bar oil of your liking and fill your high quality Stihl jug up with it when it gets low.

I just noticed the problem last week, and he mentioned it yesterday. Called some other WMA guys and theirs is the same crap.

As far as YouTube vids, it's just something to waste time while watching fields for spotlighters, while in the car rider line, etc. I watch other idiots on there as well, Wrangler whatever his name is, Hotsaws101, American Homestead, and others that just pass time. Most are idiots, but still entertaining.

I was mainly wondering if anyone else had issues with the orange jug oil. I have other oils that I can and will use.

I only use the TSC regular bar oil, IMO, great for the price. I don't use a winter oil, but I also don't generally cut if it is below 20*.

If I had to work in colder temps, I likely would get some winter oil.

Normal bar oil good till about 30 degrees then it starts to set like molasses. Have to let the saw warm up the crank case for a little bit then it’s good to go usually. Below about 30 degrees winter weight works better and easier on the plastic oil pump gears most saws have.

I noticed that Mike. I bought about 12 gallons when it was $6.00. Now it is $7
The winter weight was $8.99 I think. Silver bottle. Worth a try just in case you gotta fire up in 20 degree weather.
