I have only been impressed by 1 stock saw ever, and it was a well run 10mm 044.

I've cut with it and it just feels like a MS 462 with a bit more grunt
I think a stock MS 661 would easily outperform it.
Couldn't tell the weight difference to the MS 462 but it.

The german dealers got their update workshop and can do some cuts with the preview saw.

I'm a big EFI fan, but that thing seems awfully slow for Stihl's latest and greatest with 68 cc. Honestly, I think my Dolmar 5105 could keep up with it no problem. Mebbe it needs a break in period, and/or the ECM just needs some learn time.

I believe it is 80 cc, and sounds very overly muffled. I'll bet I could wake it up!

I have to agree only 2 stock saws have made me say WOW! That was a 064 and a 562xp.

That muffler sounds pretty awful and isn't it 80cc?

Anybody think of modding a concrete saw if motor is the same? Just to see how it responded to mods, or are they rev limited like a lot of concrete saws are and the coil won’t allow them to rev.?

Bone stock 562 did not overly impress me, I think they wake up big with a muff mod.

The MS 500i is the MS 462s big brother, and the 462 is 72 cc.

I believe the toque is deceiving on the i saws, which will bode well for longer bars.

In my mind this strikes at the heart of what Stihl is looking to do with the 462 and 500i saws. Want to run long bars go with the 500i.

Wondering how much more money for this over the 462 when they are both out. Ts 420 is 999.95 msrp and the ts 500i is 1320$. Wonder if it will be similar amount.
