I want to see the intake ports on it. Are the injector nozzles in the transfers or are they tapped into the cylinder wall or in the intake port or behind it??

Guess you could squirt fuel in from the cylinder wall at bdc or whatever and the injector would see only minimal combustion heat/pressure. Still seems like it would have a lot more issues to deal with than coming in through the intake.

Well I suppose that answers a few questions, definitely not direct injection...

Even if it had direct injection, it still needs to get its air through the crank case. On a fixed orientation motor the bearings could be in an oil bath... but not a chainsaw that is slung all over the place.
Can't think of a way to lube it without mix going through the case.

Not really. If it's like the TS 500 it's all pretty simple

In the 462 thread someone said that they haven't released actual specs but said stihl mentioned 1hp per kilo.
That's only a bit better ratio than the 462/661 and if it put out the 7.2hp of the 661 would weigh in at 15.84lbs.

Is the 500i direct injection?
I don't see where a big power increase would come from with fuel injection on a 2 stroke unless it's direct injection...

Direct injection into the case, not the cylinder. Gotta lube the bottom end.
