The top pic of the drum doesn't look right either.
I was taught, if it doesn't taste right, smell right or look right, then it ain't right.

Pulled her apart again and inspected everything again, no damage to anything (clutch bearing, clutch, brake band, etc.) except the rim sprockets that I posted pictures of previously. No evidence of the uneven edge of the drum coming in contact with anything. After removing the plug and pulling the motor over 10-15 times, I am confident that the crank is straight and true. Everything is tight. Looks like I will be ordering a drum kit, now I just need to decide if I will try and fit an 1121 or 1141.

I'm missing something. 1121 or 1141??? Those look like the first 4 digits of the part number?

260 or 261 drum, my buddy says a 260 drum can be made to fit and are better quality than the 261 drums.

Be careful. 2 different 260 drums. The fixed and clutch driven “PRO” oiler. The fixed crank driven oiler is much narrower. Also, the deeper one has the notch for the worm, the other doesn’t.

I probably missed if you are original owner or not, but the inner diameter of the the sprocket area where the bearing goes can get worn down and will be tough to see. I had it happen on an 044/6 hybrid. Replaced the bearing after if failed, and the bearing just failed again. Didn’t notice the slop until afterwards. When you get your new drum, check the ID’s. The worn ones tend to wear evenly and are tough to notice.
