Stihl MS 462C muffler mods

Some muffler combinations I've been trying on a stock 462 with a West Coast Saw foam air filter being the only other modification. The stock unmodded muffler with the buckshot cover brings the most power in my opinion thought I'd share.

Funny, I did a front outlet with a deflector on the inside to block a straight exit. My saw ported.

I found no difference between opening the factory outlet to around 1 square inch vs the same plus the front outlet.

I like your mod though, nice and clean looking.

Yea opening up the muffler doesn't make any horses, your goal should be to make the muffler draw. Loud doesn't mean fast. If you haven't seen them already, you should look at some of the stuff bearclaw is playing with. Pretty interesting stuff

Well Damn, I didn't know. I put saw videos on YouTube while I work on my saws and cut/grind chain, that's how I discovered him. I dont know him personally, just thought some of the things he was saying made sense. Didnt mean to ruffle any feathers.
