I still see a problem with the soft piston saving the cylinder, the rings breaking and sticking seems to most of the damage anyway. Unless the softer piston embeds the ring chunks saving the cylinder.

I think shops don’t care new cylinder or new saw doesn’t matter much to them either way. I know the local shops recommend a new saw most of the time ones blown huskies in included even with the top ends for a lot of husky saws being about 150$-175$

The 400 will be sold along with the 362 only difference between them is the top end and maybe the coil. The oil pump and all the other stuff is the same as a 362. 59cc for the 362 and 67cc for the 400
Why would they sell both? Stihl well eventually have a saw for every 5cc if they keep it up lol. Surely the magnesium piston won't drive up the cost thst much.[emoji1]

We’ll be more in line with husky sizes won’t it, and if it splits the difference between the 780$ for a 362 and the 1129$ for a 462 it will sell. Way I understand from what I was told it’s the same saw just bigger top end on a 362

With 5.4 Hp at 12.8 lbs it should be a very competitive saw if priced right.

But it is not as light as a 362 Ver II, and the 462 has more power with just a bit more weight.

However, if you don't own either of the others, it will likely be a good pick.
