MS661 with three circlips from the factory. Locked up on the first tank of fuel. Stihl comped a new top end....and here it is.

All I have is second hand info....

But the guy that sent me the saw said it locked up tight as a ticks ass. I'd assume the clip ended up between the jug and the slug.

Bottom of piston seems to look good in the pic, I would think if the clip got it, it would have skirt damage?

Is it possible it wedged between the crank and case? Or does that all look clean and not dinged up?

Do they hand over the free parts to the user or do they only allow there dealer/techs to install them?
