Like most of my posts I never really get an answer to my questions. So frustrating to help but not get helped. Apart from getting the requested manuals.

But here is the PN. Just drop STL prefix.

As a typical Stihl customer, not an official mechanic, I found that part number after a considerable amount of browsing and bought one on eBay -- for my br800. Then I
bought a replacement oem carb for my 2005 fs100rx and dambb... It had the new the new 2314 screws unlike the original carb that had
the 2307. Stihl's wisdom is amazing.

Yes apparently Stihl decided to more of a pain by changing the hexagon to an octagon to force to have a dealer only to work on our and our customers equipment. The octagon tool is PN 5910 890 2314. (for anyone else needing the PN)

I even had one dealer just this Fall to demand to see my DL in order to sell me the parts that I had ordered; they got to keep them. I was already providing them a copy of my sales tax exemption certificate. Which they even declined. Now they just either have to return them or wait until someone wants them. This is no way to treat a business customer or even a regular customer.

They are Pioneer Equipment in Decherd TN.

Wow, that's crazy. I go sideways with my Stihl dealer, TriGreen in Athens, Al for not stocking basic parts. It's so bad I'll never buy equipment from them. Sorry to say that but they really need to improve.

They are absolutely right, if you like it or not. All of this special tools are for STIHL certified and trained dealers only. This is also EPA law with carb adjusting tools. It is good that not everyone messes with this, without really knowing what they do.

And for those of us who see the need for a carb adjustment tool and know how to properly use it there is eBay. If I wish to use a hard bristle toothbrush I can buy one. I can eat excessive amounts of sugar until I become a diabetic, drive my car 125 mph, buy a pistol and shoot it, etc ... But I can't buy a $15 carb adjustment tool. Hmmmm. Nothing like the federal government.

Edit..

That is reason enough to buy the equipment brand that has tools available on eBay and not buy brands that "outsmart" the people that put food in their mouth.

EPA can sock you with a 20-40k fine if they want.

I have a problem with both the Park City and Decherd. They just get thru their head that I can't received text messages because I don't have a cell phone and I have repeatedly told them so. This causes my parts sit for weeks at a time.
