The HD 17a is the most common one used here in WA for 440 and 460 darn good carb if you ask me.I made this list a while back. I believe they are 460 carbs. Sans a few.

The HD 17a you can change out the jet size very good carb for here because of the extreme changes of elevation.HD 16 also, but the HD 8 and 11 have a richer jet that is needed in some ported saws. Only one of my ported saws preferred the HD 50, don't ask me why, but it worked, really boosted that saw!
Lol.yep but got to have the carb but can do without the gnat.Playing with chainsaw carbs is about as much fun as trying to neuter a gnat!
Yes and I've drilled plenty of them out to but if you get a stalk pile of jets then it's just faster swopping them out lol unless you want or need a custom size for the special saw.lolIf I remember correctly when I spoke to Walbro tech, you can get factory jets up to .78. Screw in replacement jets.
OR, just drill them out.
I'll probably only sale this one for the time being. I'd like to check the other 2 out before I sell them . Shoot and offer .I'm interested, tell me what your looking for it, and what is for sale (of the 3).
Yep I agree. I think the 046 mags, before the ms switch were lighter and fasterThe first year 046 was much more aggressive than the later saws. I'd keep that over a 460.
