And as I remove the plunger slide/cable assy from the pump housing because I have not been able to move the piece that is behind the first spring that is there when starting to disassemble, as I indicated, I was not able to disassemble beyond number 17 which is The first spring, how do I disassemble the rest of the pieces (16, 2, 8 and 4)?
Have you managed to remove the very small internal circlip (Item #20 below). Once this is removed everything behind it right up to item #2 (the actual pump piston) should slide right out. Very difficult to do this without removing the pump from the saw, and to remove all the Torx screws securing the pump to the case you will need to prise the pump gear (#5 below) off the splines on the drive gear (#3). The stiff black pump hose (#22) will also make it difficult to move the pump up and out. All in all its a real fiddle as the manual overide cable (#18) will also get in the way unless you release it from the thumb button.

Hello, yes, I have been able to remove the pump from the machine, that is not the problem, the problem is that I have only been able to disassemble up to number 17, number 16 does not move, so today I am going to buy a degreaser to see if it is That part may be seized by the passage of time without using the machine (dry oil or perhaps rust that the part has) and I trust that in this way I can continue disassembling the oil pump.

Hello again, well, today I have worked on the oil pump of my Sihl 084, I have disassembled the circlip and the mechanism that regulates the oil flow and I have hit everything with a loosening product and the manual pump has come loose and it already seems that it moves and should work, yes, I am not able to disassemble all the rest of the pump parts but I have loosened everything from the inside of the entire pump and I have left it submerged in liquid, loosen everything, and it seems that it has improved, now it will be left to mount it again in the machine and see if we have really managed to repair it.

Another question, the manual pump having been seized and having started the machine, do you think that the negronajes 2 and 3 could have been damaged? what material don?? metal or plastic??

Hello again, well, this afternoon I have been with the oil pump of my Stihl 084, I have disassembled it, I have managed to remove part 16 (it finally loosened and it has finally come out), I have disassembled all parts 14, 13, 11, 12, 15 and 10) I have cleaned the inside of the pump with loosen everything and I have verified that the internal impeller of the pump works and I have cleaned with loosen all the inlet from the tank and outlet towards the oil chain of the pump. When reassembling everything in the machine I have verified that the pump sends more oil flow to the bar but unfortunately I have seen that the manual pump does not work, it does not send oil, it does not move oil from the tank, any idea why this happens? ? The pump with the machine on does send oil to the chain, at least more than before, but the manual pump does not work, any ideas to see where the problem comes from??

Thank you.

A greeting from Spain.

The manual oiler doesn’t pump. When you hold it in, it holds the oil pump wide-open and allows for a certain percentage more than just having the oiler adjusted all the way up.

Hello, thank you very much for your answer

Well, I thought it was a manual pump for greasing, I didn't know that its function was that, I thought that the maximum flow was regulated by part no. 10, I thought that the function of part no. 16 was that of a manual pump as happens in other machines where it does there is an auxiliary pump for pumping oil for the chain.

Thank you very much for the clarification, then I see that my repair was successful and that the pump has been fine.

A greeting from Spain.

Hello again,

Well, today I have assembled the batten and the chain on the machine and indeed, the pump already lubricates the bar and the chain, what a joy, I thought I would have to mount a new pump (as difficult as they are to find and how expensive they are!!!)

Thank you very much guys, really, with people like you it's a pleasure to enter the forums.

A greeting from Spain.
