There's really no correlation to an air cooled aircraft engine as an aircraft engine only has ram cooling air whereas a chainsaw has a "fan" in the finned flywheel. A VW Beetle with a shrouded fan would be more similar but any four stroke, valved engine does not share much in common with two stroke, mixed gas engines.

You guys really tune your chainsaws every day? I rarely tune my saws unless I've just been doing work on them.
