What's the residents opinion on 064?

Does it have parts support? Coils, carbs, cylinders, pistons, etc.

If one is a runner with a bar and chain what would you pay?

thanks bunches

I feel like...the 064 and flat top 066 are a couple saws of legend from Stihl.

Parts? Been hard getting parts for most things these days with the plague, but it seems many parts are still kicking around. Original 64 jugs n slug might be getting scarce, but 066/660 cyls can also be utilized.

Runner in fair condition? 5-600. Good condition 650 or so. Finding an excellent example these days is difficult. I hope ya find one!

I sold a strong-running 064 with a 32" bar and chain to a tree service company two years ago for $500. They say it's still stronger than their MS660. I sold it only because with no decomp valve, it's a bearcat to start. Compression is huge. They have a big burly guy on board who has no trouble doing that. I hated to say good bye to it. The owner says that was a bargain price. Here's what he bought:

That's a nice one.
Kinda the price range I was expecting.

So there is sharable parts between it and 066?
The only major difference is the pto case half, flywheel, topend and oiler. There are other minor differences, but for the most part a early metal flywheel 066 is basically just a big bore 064.

The 650 is a version of the 064 with its nuts cut off so if you cannot find an original 064 small case don't bother
