Is the 281 282 piston domed and 2 ring?
Mystery ks cylinder with mahle piston

Every 288 I ever had apart had a single ring piston. I guess it is possible that there may have been an early thin ring 288 piston but I have never seen one. Now a thin ring 181 (52mm) that I have seen.

Bolts are 5mm. With a flat top and no gasket,I get .013.With dome piston and no gasket and .021 solider it never touched. The saw had a .020 gasket on it when torn down.

Is that a domed Mahle piston?
Circlips dont look like OEM Stihl either for that model.
Ring looks like 1.5 mm instead of 1.2mm.
Is that an unusual bevel to just one large corner of the intake, or is it worn oddly there or just a trick of the light?
I am guessing modified saw probably Husqvarna piston, maybe 066 cylinder with 288 piston.
The unusual wear at the inside of the pin boss makes me think they used an 088 Stihl piston pin bearing without spacers instead of the 288 OEM bearing.
I wish all saws would use that type of wrist pin circlip...
