If your removing the oil pump from your 064 be very carful removing the hose from the pump. The nipple on the pump that hose connects to is very prone to breaking off.

Haha, the hose was melted and broken.
The brass tip that pushes in the case near the bar looks damaged.

It will be replaced

Other than crown height and skirt width what we talkin bout here Deeter?
The lower crown height = lower compression after machine work. A 66 don't need to be 240 lbs.

Longer skirts equals more velocity

If machined properly you won't need to grind the uppers at all, keeping them small really seems to help

It will oil no differently than your 066.

The advantage of a 288 piston is that it times most cylinders without grinding on them a bunch or any.

Also you can get the exhaust down without a ton of compression or a ton of intake duration.

All great points. I was basing my observation on Brews keeping the ex high for a short bar but it looks like he has changed paths.:)

The cylinder measures 94/122/80

How much should I chop off?
Is it a red light cylinder?
94 122 80 is with a 66 piston correct?
All of the red light cylinders I've checked are quite bad, about like yours. Very high exhaust and a big intake duration.

Oh no question of power to pull the chain, but the clutch gets really hot on my 066 when cutting with a 42" bar for extended periods.

I guess swapping the full comp chain for skip would fix that

No its a thick based 066 cylinder.

I have a KS jug off a 660 and it measured the same

On the intake yes but it's the opening of the exhaust port from tdc.

I have only checked a couple out of a mountain that were 94 and in the 80's on the intake and those were all ks red light cylinders.

I must be using my degree wheel wrong?

I have a 660 case that I can use to check it again.
I will do that tonight after work

Your doing it right.
These cylinders vary a Rediculous amount. I have seen them like yours there just not as common.

Do you have another? That one isn't great. Lol
