Well its all stripped down to bits.

I need new bearings, gaskets, seals, clutch, rim sprocket, oil line and a carb kit for the BING.

Oh, and a I need to clean the parts....... There has to be an easier way to clean crusty saw parts than degreaser, brushed and pressure cleaners.

You might use a walbro until you can find a Bing kit cheaper than Stihl dealership cost. The dealers around here are as low as you hear and the Bing kits are almost $60 a pop. I'm pretty sure a wj metering diaphragm will match up good enough to work. You'll have to compare yours to one.

I am thinking of taking the pump off my red light that pumps oil like a middle eastern country and using that.

I am thinking of taking the pump off my red light that pumps oil like a middle eastern country and using that.

@Brewz IIRC the 064 oil pump has a hose that comes off the top of the oil pump to supply oil to the bar oil grove in the case.
The 066 doesn't use a hose but instead has a passage cast into the case.
The very early 066 may also use a hose for the oil delivery but I don't think so.

It does use a hose.
Will stick with one on the saw then.

You may be able to modify the oil pump for your 064 for more oil output. I believe they can be modified just like the 066 oil pump. I could be wrong. I haven't had an 064 oil pump apart before

If your removing the oil pump from your 064 be very carful removing the hose from the pump. The nipple on the pump that hose connects to is very prone to breaking off.
