That's the same set-up mine had when I got it.
I ended up taking a bit off the black plastic snorkel on the new to me old style cover. Fits like a boss now.

It finally had some time to run it!
24" 7 pin right now.
Will likely utilize a 20" and possible 8 pin a majority of the time.
Running fat at 13,5 for now.

I just put the tank and clutch on!
