FOUND IT Stihl 009/011 oil pump diaphragm

Hi Guys -

A buddy of mine needs a new diaphragm for the oil pump on his 009/011. I gave away all my 009/011 stuff a long time ago. So if someone has a spare, it would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

Naw, this is for an engineer buddy who works in New Mexico for Bureau of Reclamation. He's a good egg so I try to help him out.

Are they NLA or something? I have an 009 that doesn't oil and I figured it would be an easy fix once I tore into it... Could you make one out of an innertube or something? Have no idea what one looks like.

NLA I believe. I have an 009 in a box from a buddy… I have this sinking suspicion that I’ll get it built and then notice an oiler issue.
If this thing was an 1125 it’d already be cutting wood.

yes nla, and has a little metal rod built into it. not really something a guy can fab up real easy unfortunately

I've found complete oil pumps a few times by calling around to dealers who have been in business forever.

if there was a way to soften it, id try...
did try brake fluid
saw is vg cond & running, just not oiling, so worth saving i think

@rocketnorton try soaking it in a product called Ethanol Shield- Mechanic in a Bottle. Works most times to soften things up.

Synthetic two stroke oil should soften then up and condition the material. Most diaphragm I've found were dry, were shrunk and or cracked in carbs.

Boil it it water and wintergreen oil.
I rejuvenated Homelite XL-2 pump with salon pas pain gel. It has the wintergreen oil. Took a couple weeks. Randy's bubba has one of those saws I did that to.
