I've taken 100's of tonnage trains up and down this 2% grade hill. Believe me,this is truly impressive.

That was awesome. Its very rare you see a steamer pop off on excursions. But she definitely need max boiler pressure on that grade.

That line is in part of the territory we maintain. This engine is in Dudley Pa. Not far from the Broadtop line. Not sure if it was ran on that line.View attachment 238513

Looks like it was near the East Broad Top, but not the same line.

Have you ever been to the Pioneer Tunnel in Ashland? They operate a narrow gauge train under steam, and it's pretty cool, and the mine tour is great. Only pic I remembered to take that day:

that was truly amazing how that engine dug in and pulled up that hill
And there’s some beautiful coaches hooked up nice livery on the Norfolk line
And one Pullman coastal car on the tail thanks for sharing Ross

Those heavyweight Pullmans a minimum of 80 ton each. And there's twenty of them. Plus six gondolas of coal, the tool car and the APU(I think) on the rear. Probably total close to 3000 ton.
