Well, the saga continues, this afternoon a guy posts another 351 on C L, says it runs fine and the chain turns but as soon as the chain touches anything it stops but engine keeps reving and it also has an oil leak.
He said the shop wants $30 just to look at it, he wants $60 for it, so I go swoop it.
I get it home and pull the clutch cover to find the sprocket has unwelded from the drum, no biggy, I havn't looked into the oil leak very far but both the gas& oil cap need new O rings, it also needs a top cover clip.
On the plastic on the back of the carb where the air filter twists on both nubs have been removed so the air filter does not tighten. All in all I would guess around $50 in small parts to get it in fine shape.
While it is not nearly as nice as my other one this one is going to get the oe346 p&c that I have and I just might put the grinder to that one.

Keep the piston level in the cylinder
If measured on the left and right, above the wrist pin, the piston isn't going anywhere. I bend long pieces of solder and hold them through the spark plug hole. Doing it this way and no rings makes the whole procedure easier. I like easier.
