Found this inspecting an electric saw off of CL, and looking for advice.

Should I replace this sprocket, or just finish splitting it in half, so that I have two?

Sorry for the photo quality - my smartphone camera does not go that deep.

Maybe use JB Weld as filler?

Thanks.

Part is NLA from Sears - have to see if there is some Poulan, or other sprocket that will fit.

I have to tear it down to look at it, but it is low on the list - any 'saw time' will have to be getting ready for the Iowa GTG this weekend. Just happened to notice it - farther gone than any spur sprocket I recall seeing.

But the sprocket might even be separate from the clutch drum. If that is the case, I might be looking for a 3/8 low-pro spur sprocket, with the same bore, and finding someone to help 'de-braze' it from the drum? I was hoping that Poulan still listed it for one of their other electric saws. But maybe with dimensions I can find something that fits, or can easily be be converted, as you mention.
