Not a chance in this truck. No smoke no matter how hard it was pulling. No ash on the truck by the exhaust. Also did not sound like a quarry was driving by!

I was told it has a 390 horse 454 but I talked to the dude that installed it an he said its 375.

Who here knows the wiring for the tranny kick down on a TH400? Mine has the wire from the gas peddle switch to the tranny but not the power wire. Where does the power wire come from?

Any help at all??? We call it kick down here other people call it passing gear. Its when you mash the throttle down and the tranny drops a gear. Its not working on the 76 GMC I just got and would like it to work

I can't remember for sure. But wasn't there a spot in the fuse block for it? Power went from the back of the fuse block to the switch on the throttle arm and down to the kick down solenoid. Or if your truck had a tbi or the bastard computer carb it came off the computer behind the glove box.

Most of my square body experience was with the 3/4 speed manual transmission. So I'm not 100% positive.

My friend and I were bombin around in the woods lookin for a small tree to cut for firewood and some beer was involved. The snow was deeper than I thought. The 4"lift didnt help but the winch sure did.

Camper special. Usually extra leafs in the rear springs. Can't remember if they are 3/4 ton on a 1/2 ton frame or not.
