Ok, it's Monday.
Another bit: the air filter.
Many guys aren't aware that the filter is prone to let small particles not past the main sealing point but through the gaps around the main screw.
7310's filter upper and lower plastic frame fully isolates the main screw by forming a sealing tube inside the filter.
The base to which the filter is tightened is covered with rubber, so it adds to the filter neck sealing properties - another barrier.
Carburetor is sealed in separated chamber under the filter.

Looks like it is well engineered!
All overall it looks a nice saw and as you said well engineered but the kill switch is a "joke". Reminds me of SAWS built backin the 90s

As long as the saw controls work in wet, damp, rainy or snowy conditions.... I couldn’t give a hoot what they look like. Lol
I look at a design and say "if I have to log with it for 3 months in the winter...will it stand the test of time?"
