hey guys, you're probably wondering why no updates are coming. I've had a little health problem recently, got lyme borelliosis from a tick bite some weeks ago. Now im 30 day + on antibiotics .... It is ridicoules, after more than 8 years in the german army and over 50-60 ticks you catch something like that while hiking in the corona time.

The recovery is going well though, I think I'll be fit again in one or two weeks to be able to continue with the saws.

I’m sure the handle is plastic just like the ms 362 since the ms 400 is basically an over-bored 362 with magnesium piston. Most of the saws the same from what I understand, they could have gone old school and called it an ms362 super if they wanted.
Did you say magnesium piston????

Wouldn’t that suck if your piston caught on fire. Lol

Alright. While @StephK87 is getting his strength back, here is another detail of 7310:

In the crankcase, above the oil tank there are two expansion chambers, stacked one on top of another. The top one has a two-way breather.
When the chainsaw is put into warmer conditions, oil and air obviously expand. If the chainsaw is upright, the air passes both connecting expansion chambers and exits through the two way breather. The tank remains unpressurised, the oil is not pushed via oil pump to form a puddle.
Even if the chainsaw rests on it’s side, there is virtually no possibility to fill both expansion chambers to reach the breather and leave a puddle.
The tank and both chambers are connected by a narrow passage in simpliest possible way - there is no gasket between them.

I noticed the press in bar studs too... I like this. Screw in bar studs are a tad more problematic in my experiences.
