Hello fellow Solo saw enthusiasts! I'm in need of an oil cap for a 645.As I understand it other saw models use the same cap.(639 & 650)

@RCBS: According to my knowledge (which might be wrong) WALBRO HD-44B but that's for EU market probably.

@edju1958: Part-number is "27 00 345". This oil cap is used with models 639 / 645 / 639 / 645 / 650

The makita style works. Should be still available. Is slightly smaller than the Solo filter.

The vertical candle is 2 smaller units 620AV/52cc & 650AV/62cc

A 651 in good condition recently aquired. I am guessing early ˋ90s vintage from the faded red nipple on the toggle switch it has, the same era of Stihl red levers.

The two digits right to the serial number (separated by space and a little smaller than the serial) state year of manufactory

I am wrong with my assumption! The numerals are 05. I thought they had already changed to the sugar scoop shaped engine cover by 2005.

Anyone know what kind of little Solo this is? It was made in Western Germany so pre 1990 but thats alls I know about it. Came with a small Oregon 12'' b&c.

Thank you Piter, even though I am not sure what Mikes website is, a google search for Solo 600 revealed quite a few infos and I agree with this assessment. Looks like a 600 alright.

I haven’t checked the saw out yet but it looks alright doesn’t it. So if anyone is interested in it, shoot me a PM.

Thank you again. Looks like there’s a few differences between model years, like on the clutch cover, I’m guessing the newer versions had the sticker (which is missing on mine) on there. But overall, good stats for such a small package, I rather like that.
