You metal cylinder schroud is broke though. Should wrap around the top not be 2 pieces .
But there's more to come since one Rex doesn't add up to more than 25 kg.

A 635 in parts, all body parts sandblasted and ready for a paint job. According to the donor, the second saw is complete as well,
only b&c missing and perhaps a few nuts and bolts.
I'm kind of overwhelmed by this gift I didn't ask for but I'm very happy too.
Nice looking job too!View attachment 306065

I added/replaced the supports on the back of the air filter bracket on my Solo Twin.

Some bolts an nuts are still missing, but she already looks quite satisfying to me
Very nice Mr. H - did you make your own gaskets? I have a 60135 restoration coming up myself.
Nice Solo 70/626 pair!
The type variations are a little confusing, however.
I don't claim to be a SOLO expert but from what I know
there are at least 4 variations all sold as SOLO 70:
1. All blue saw with manual only oiler. The oil reservoir is integrated into the sprocket cover, engine number prior to 241000.
2. All blue saw with automatic oiler plus manual oil pump. Engine numbers between 241001 and 275914. Oil tank attached to saw body.
3. Yellow body with automatic oiler. Engine numbers between 275915 and 290800. 6 shoes clutch. Oiling system differs from the blue saws
4. Solo 70 Mark II. Engine number after 290800, 4 shoe servo-type clutch, different transfers.
and then come the 60126 which are basically still the same saws....
