How do they compare on feel and quality? (Snapon vs Matco?)
As someone who owns both (full time small engine mechanic) i would much prefer the snap on heads to the matco... crap...the matco locking 3/8 is the worst feeling ratchet head in my box, with snap on, kobalt, and even pittsburgh pro ahead of it... has too much drag that makes it hard to spin down bolts, and has been that way for 8 yrs now... it has been relegated to oil filter wrench status....

New future shop accessories.
The vac will hopefully meet my expectations in helping clean up the current mess.
Just couldn't resist buying the twin cylinder compressor.
Both 5 year warranty.

I bought a half inch years ago and it was trash. Was never going to buy another Matco. Got some others and got rebuild kits if they acted up and they’ve been fine. Supposedly they redesigned the guts a few years ago. I don’t notice anymore back drag than the others. If snap on made a good locking setup I’d buy them. I do agree all of those ratchets do feel nicer. The Pittsburgh pros are nice ratchets but people think they are too “professional” to have them. Carlyle made some really nice ones but I haven’t tried the newest version.

Snap on used to make a decent locking flex....then they discontinued it for some reason...the original FX80 is what i have....and they still offer repair kits, as i just recently broke the lock mech, and had them send a replacement lock kit....

I liked that oval button ones. I have a half inch that I used forever and never broke it. I don’t like the seesaw ones
