You should see if you can get a bottle of this
It's above my spice level
50.000 - 250.000 SHU
That is small potatoes, like a dip for tortilla chips! 😅

I had this & can buy it or other creations of theirs at will! 😤🥵
Laboratory tested 850.000 SHU

Going down smoothly.
The red/left one is more tasteful (20% hot chili peppers) , but the green/right one is hotter (36% green jalapeno peppers)
Both could be a little bit hotter, or at least come in bigger bottles for the same price.

Ordered a “Boiler Commander” from
Joe Borgerding. Pretty excited to get it installed. I used to install a bunch of his other ventilation products at my last job and if this thing is built like his other assemblies it’ll last forever. He offered to swing out and stick it on next week as he’s only 20 mines away.

I like cutting wood and everything that goes with burning wood but doing it less is okay with me as well lol. This thing is supposed to reduce consumption in ways that make sense so we’ll see how it does in real life.

I just read the info on their website, interesting, sounds like a more refined burn controller that 'should' take the peaks and valleys off of the all or nothing burn cycles. If you get the chance, please do update on the installation and particularly on whether it lives up to the claims.

I heat primarily with an old Aquatherm model from about 2010 that looks like a barrel on its side, can get 10 hour burns out of it with a full load of good wood and temps in the high teens/low 20's, conditioning about 3k SF. Pleased with the stove, but like you, it wouldn't break my heart to lower the stove's feed bill!

What is it.
It is a voodoo box that monitors exhaust gas temps to modulate the fan speed. When the burn cycle starts it'll run the fan at 100%+ to get it going and back down as exhaust temps increase.

The builder is as good a dude as they come and I'm at the point with him that I'll blindly trust what he says his product will do. I helped install ventilation systems with his controllers that were in the millions of dollars. His systems are legit.

I will absolutely update once it's been in control for a while. Another plus is I have been meaning to wire around the digital aquastat the stove came with as it's been problematic due to the contactor inside sticking and causing the stove to run up to 195f and down to 150f and be controlled by the thermal safety switch. Not a big fan of that. He's gonna build an InkBird controller into it so I can control it from my phone. I already have an InkBird BBQ temp kit on it so I can see the supply/return temps for both loops but it only shows temps and doesn't control anything.

Appreciate it, and interesting on the digital aquastat sticking. Mine has the old Honeywell (or whatever it's called now) mechanical aquastat. After probably 13 years problem free, a couple years ago I had a runaway over-heat due to power going out and aging door gasket. Then last year I had over-heat 3 or 4 times, even with new door gasket. Guessing the aquastat is not a fan of 212+ temps. Thought about going digital, but replaced with a similar mech switch and replaced some other minor doo-dads and things have gone well.
I could see the phone related info being helpful if you're near home, but when away it would just piss me off to watch the temp climb and not be able to do anything about it!

Heck with that (unless you ordered it in Celsius?)
I called the dealer and told him I needed a a controller. It was drop shipped from he factory and they sent that one. I installed it and a new probe and the damn thing kept reading low. I called the factory and they knew exactly what they had done. They sent the correct one and I sent this one back. Thank the Lord I did not build a fire since the set point is 185F

I guess that’s what the boil-off valve is for! What model boiler do you have?
