Once upon a time, my uncle welded his cabinet out of sheet metal and now the armored cabinets are in the scrapyard, they are not expensive but extremely heavy.

I bought this last week
71+WeOyrS-L._AC_UL1500_.jpg71X6eHMUcFL._AC_UL1500_.jpg
It was 15.00 and very well made I went to order another one but they are 30.00 now
Still worth it imho
This was also 15.0061Yw1Wq8xxL._AC_UY1000_.jpg
Good deal not as sturdy made as the backpack but it'll make a nice range bag.

Husqvarna 153R One ring caught and there are no marks on the piston, the guy bought a new one and I took it for $25 plus a cylinder gasket. Coal jammed this ring, the equipment is 17 years old / Edit 😉 10 years old

I lubricated the bearing in the T45X head and the throttle cable. See the microscopic marks on the rings on the muffler side

Simington model 450; 50” Cannon, Husky .404 bar; Silvey bar grinder, roll of 52AJ…all with 25+ years of dust.

$200

The bar rail grinder is dead accurate and chucks up in my vise when needed…stored under a bench when not.
Gonna have to figure out where to put the sq grinder :p
Tried it out on a chain…seems to work fine.

Just bought this one. He said it needed work. I tuned the carb and put two tanks through it bucking hardwood. I like this old saw.

Older or newer one? After a certain year they ran the smaller cylinder because of supposed cooling issues. I wish I had bought the one that was on local auction 2 months ago, went for 50$. Also had opportunity to buy an xl 944vi and should have for 200$ at pawn shop

I haven't measured the cylinder. It's electronic ignition, no points. I was running it hard, looking for problems and it had plenty of pull. The gas was starting to boil at refill.
My only complaint was the muffler outlet pointing straight down was causing it to die when I set it in the grass to roll logs. I fixed that.

The size difference isn’t a ton anyway but some were thin vs thick ring also I think plus a few different electronic ignitions some harder to get than others. The made the 925xl all the way up to the 90’s I think
