Saw this in ‘Clearance’ aisle at Menards. Don’t need it, but it fits my saw.

‘$64.95’ written on it with a ballpoint pen.

I ask a clerk, ‘$64.95 is the clearance price?’

‘Yeah’ he says.

‘Wow’, I replied. ‘If it was like $10 I would buy it’.

‘Want it for $10?’, he asked. It’s been there for, like 6 years’.

I now have a spare tablesaw insert.

Philbert

Awhile back I ran across this and sent a message to one of my sons hoping he had snagged it but he had not.

34 years ago I worked for the US Army Corps of Engineers, We had a pair of old Lawn Boys to mow the levee with because they were 2 stroke. I hated them as I found them to be totally gutless. They then bought a 38" Deere walk behind. That was a dream to run as all you had to do was give it a little brake tension and she would mow on the steepest levee

Just dragged this '73 IHC 1310 home yesterday instead of going to work. Price was right and the wife gave approval. 304, 4 speed dually. Won't get there fast, but it will do everything I need it to. Body is more solid than one would think for something that lived in the rust belt...

Does @LAWN BOY know these are missing? I know he has quite a collection of "stuff", but I think he will realize these are gone! :D
He tends to miss the finer things in life such as the girls on horseback at Tractor Supply.......blew that one.🤔

That is a great find. I love the body style of those trucks. My grandfather bought a new truck in about 1970. He worked at the cement plant and rock quarry just a few miles up river from his house. He retired a few years after buying the truck and it sat in the garage covered up as he never drove again. I always thought it was an International and still do but my mother's husband claimed it was a Chevy. It could not have had more than 10,000 miles or so on it. After Grandpa died in 1992 it disappeared. I remember the story about when he bought it. The salesman asked if he was paying cash or finance. Grandpa said cash of course. When the time came for him to pay he reached into his bib overalls and took out a red handkerchief. Inside was a stack of cash and he paid for the truck.
