I called my tire guy and said “Hey Bill !! My pickup needs some new shoes and I feel the need, the need for some grippy buggers !!” He says “WhyTF are you always so dumb !? Okay I’ll send you a few pictures of a few tires”. These looked nice so I said let’s go. I’m pretty excited. Once I get all the seed corn delivered this spring I’m going to pop the old ones off and retire the old guy.
Doesn't get much better than shopping for new tires.

Ruger Super Blackhawk that belonged to one of my Dads cousins. He was a door gunner on a Huey in Vietnam.
I have my Dad's Ruger Super(stainless steel) BlackHawk 7 1/2" in 44 Magnum. Have the original box and receipt. Mom's Christmas present one year to Dad in the '80's. It was a surprise gift. So many hours, days and memories in the 80's and 90's spent shooting Coke/soup cans at 20 to 50 yards and milk jugs to paint buckets out to 150 yards or so. Iron sights only.

Elmer Kieth's writings were a favorite of mine and Dad's. Learned hand-loading/reloading and casting from Dad. Still have his reloading equipment including bullet casting pots/molds.

Dad, a vet of the Korean Conflict, was and still is my Hero. Always will be

When i worked for the US Army Corp of Engineers almost 35 years ago we had a pair of old Lawn Boy push mowers to push mow a very long levee. They used them because they were two stroke and of course a 4 stroke Briggs would burn up running at an angle. I hated them damn Lawn Boys. They never seem to rev and were gutless. Then a few years later they finally joined the modern world and bought a Deere 38" walk behind. Of course it was self-propelled. It had 5 speed but first gear was as fast as I wanted to walk. It had a 14hp Kawasaki with pressurized lube so we could run it all day on the side of the levee. It was night and day better than the old Lawn Boys. I still have one of the Green Wieners in the barn though just for nostalgia
