The rods eith threads are thread chasing files, should be one standard noted eith thread per inch counts, and one metric, with thread per MM count
The rods have a square cross-section and each has 8 different threads. One is inch and the other is metric

Stihl 021 from member here, free for shipping ($30), muffler modded and advanced timing, runs/idles but dies as soon as I give it throttle, I’ll fix it soon.
Cub Cadet CS-5220, paid $50, been sitting, will troubleshoot soon

Its an aftermarket cap for stihl to replace the "flippy caps" on the newer saws, and replaces the flipping mechanism with a double ear cap more like an husqvarna or mid 2000s poulan.
Well, you could guess the twist after that 🫣

I also bought a flexible shaft, although I have one, test it with a thread, it will be easier to connect it to the motor... I don't know what kind of pen it is 😉 the black metal rod moves inside and the insert 😉 is 3.2 mm thick

Could it be a carbon rod? Is there a cable entry at the other end? It could be a carbon arc electrode holder, for gouging and cutting with an electric welder?

The black pin is made of steel / I would use it as a punch or a punch for sheet metal, but it seems that the 3.2 mm element is missing, it would have to be replaced

It continues...how about a Swabian made Motorsäge 460 Arctic Magnum circa 2003! But, only the rear handle and carb are heated☹️. It has a cage less muffler with the larger outlet, 17mm I believe they say. Owned by a former aircraft mechanic who logged after he retired. Sadly he 9264CB50-11C6-4A04-9891-C5DDECE7E48D.jpeg13AEACAA-6E00-4EC4-A382-6BAF0172ED7C.jpegpassed away last year. It was used, a lot of elbow grease to clean it up but in great shape otherwise. Hopefully my CAD is satisfied.
