Tough evening at the office. 7 lines out. About 2.5 hours. Bumpy out ther again. Got 4 walleye and lost a rainbow that thought he needed to launch out the water and spit the hook.
Biggest is 4.7 lbs

I'll put this pic here,
I’ve been fishing these early high tides for mackerel, they have been a bit few and far between. However I got 7 yesterday and a few more this morn, so I’ll fire up the bbq and hot smoke them later today.
In the meantime, I good friend had been saying I could have a bass when he catches it next. Well I missed him just the other day when he got 2. But today was my lucky day.. a lighter and my foot for size comparison
Just over 3lb. 20” long head to the end of tail

Nice fish! Do you have slot limits there?
My local lakes all have slot limits now, 14 - 18 inches for walleye with some fish over 26 inches. At first everyone was excited for more and bigger fish but after roughly 10+ years there has been zero change.

No ther is no slot limit on the lake. Ther is in the rivers.
Now that i have some meat in the freezer, i will start throwing back the bigger ones and i dont keep anything smaller then 15inch unless they swallow the hook and gonna die. I like the 2 to 3 pound walleye best.

I used to do the ol' charge one battery at a time thing in my old boats. It's so nice to have a plug in now that you just plug and forget. Plus it helps winter storage for me. I just plug them in once a month in the garage to charge up anything that discharged.
I bought a new lund 3 years ago now. One of the best purchases for me and my family. We have so many great memories in it already and the only bad ones are when it rained and we had to put the canvas top up.
We fish on the Mississippi River a lot along with Castle Rock and Petenwell and a couple trips to the chippewa flowage here in WI every year.

We’re enjoying it. It’s great having a boat big enough/safe for everyone. My wife’s biggest complaint was the 2 stroke smell. That SHO is so quiet you can barely hear it at idle and there is zero smell. I get enough 2 stroke goodness with saws.

Going to hit Winnebago shortly. Been on the Chip 25 years ago. Going to try Greenbay and troll for Muskys this fall hopefully. Time to use my own boat

Can’t speak about Blue Cats as we don’t have any in the Great State of Michigan , but I think they taste better than the Channel Cats Personally.

You can taste the difference between blues and channels. Top channel, bottom blue. Not the best of pictures but the blue meat is much whiter and milder tasting. I trim all red fatty meat off because it has a strong taste to it.
