A quick rundown of the three hybrids. Mark's hybrid is the Asian creation of our resident Doctor. Mine is a Canadian Farm Boy and Mike's is a Mastermind. All are incredibly powerful saws and a pleasure to run. We got to compare them but not all things were equal! Mark's was running a 24" bar with a spicy Dallas square ground chain. Mike was running a 20" Reilley chain and I had out of the box Oregon LGX.

Mark's was not dialed in completely right - Sorry Doc and cutting styles for all 3 of us were different. Doc had the saw set I think about 1000 RPM higher in his vids which the saw can handle with no problem. I just got the saw and will gradually work it up to true performance as it breaks in more.

Overall, all 3 hybrids are incredibly strong saws and an absolute joy to run! The meticulous unseen artistic, craftsmanship deserves credit! Without great builders like this our chainsaw fun in no way would be the same!

Dan - thanks for offering and having the perfect place for a Hybrid GTG. No food. What?!? Who needs food when you have perfect weather and running and pissreving some of the coolest, angry, wood hungry saws around!

I think they all looked great.

Except for a Dyno, can’t really compare saws. The same bar and chain woulda helped.

Louder saws seem faster as well.

As long as your happy, it’s all that matters. I’ll pickup a saw that is a pleasure to use, even if it’s 1 sec slower than another.

Speed isn’t what it’s all about. It’s balance that’s important to me.
