Hey guys, looking for a saw I can dedicate to my atv in the summer. Can be ugly and/or need a bit or work. Something like an 017, 018 ect. PHO is fine.

Is your mind set on a Stihl?

It's just what I'm familiar/set up for. What did you have in mind?

I have had a DCS340 and now have a DCS401,, man you cant beat those little dollies,, very well made all metal engine.
A mm and they are very strong. Probaby have 5000km riding on my ATV. I use a kolpin press to carry it.
They can be found used for pretty cheap.

The Stihl small saws are so cheap brand new right out of the box. Less than $200.

I have a McColluch Eager Beaver, needs an ignition. Case, bar and chain. $25.00 plus shipping. The saw is already 75% apart. I can send pictures if you think you might be interested.

Thanks, Howard

Yeah, those little guys are pretty affordable even brand new. I am just looking for one that needs a bit of work or has bumps and bruises. I might have a hard time strapping a brand new one on to my atv for some of our rides. I guess I'm wierd that way.

Look for a used small Stihl. Plenty of them going for a buck, buck and a quarter on CL.

Yeah, that's what im keeping an eye out for. Local CL is pretty slow lately. Someone on here will dig one out from under the bench soon though!

Oh25. Small light starts runs and also not too loud and runs a while on a tank of fuel. It's not going to kill the pocket book either. We have 1 at our job as the ground saw with a 16 bc and it won't give up

Thanks bud. I'm probably missing out on some solid units but I'm still trying for a Stihl at the moment
