I have a brass drift pin that I use without a hammer to center the cranks.I have a well worn brass hammer......it's number one use?

What if ya took a cheap crank...turned the flywheel side lobe into a cutting surface by either adding sandpaper or putting a lot of burrs on the surface of the lobe with a grinder and a chisel? I dunno.
