520. Was my grandpa's favorite out of his 730, 630, 520, 50 and 42 B. My uncle is driving in the picture

Here is my grandpa on the 520. He has been gone ten years. Here is my uncle on a h cultivating tobacco. At least before 1980. The 42 B my great grandpa bought new aprox 1965. My grandpa on the steam engine.

Went to a farm show several moons ago and they had this at it. Figured the only time my dad and I would get to sit in one.

Thanks for the reminder on the deutz parts. I'd like to add a 60-75hp tractor to the stable, and I've definitely considered a 4wd deutz because they're the same price as a 2wd tractor from one of the bigger brands. But, I don't particularly want to tangle with something that's tough to get parts for. Still though, I see a picture like yours and it makes me think about them again.

It's a great tractor. Air cooled, good power, heavy enough to get work done. It's just the poorly designed brake system that's a real problem. Find one with good brakes, and the rest of the parts can be found, just not too easily. There's an Amishman about an hour from here who has a Deutz only junkyard, and he just laughed at us the last time we went looking for brake parts.

1964 Simplicity land lord.

1972 Simplicity 7112. also 1965 Ford gas in the back ground.

1988 Simplicity 6517.
