Husqvarna 545 muffler. I cut the sides of the factory deflector and peeled it back. I grinded everything out under the deflector, but left the baffles intact. I welded it back up and sprayed it. I added a stainless screen

I gave it a little test run on the 2252. IMG_0689.JPG IMG_0690.JPG IMG_0694.JPG

It's stainless 1/8" mesh. Bought it on eBay. You can cut it with a high quality side snips like knipex or dremel cut off wheels. I've been using it for all of my screen
Thanks bud. I’ve found some that is maybe 1/16 I’ve never measured it. Use it on smaller saws. But I’ve been looking for something bigger like that for big saws. Thanks for your help

Dolmar 5100s I just did. Actually two of them. First one I did through the support bracket and drilled out the end of the baffle inside. Went this route as somebody already had a hole in the muffler here but didn't cut out the support plate. So rather than start over, I just cleaned up/finished what was there.

The other one I added a home made deflector and screen on the fw side.

First pic is just to show an easy way to hold a bracket like that to drill it/work on it without damaging it.
