Can you tell me what is in the tin box? I’m assuming fire starting tools? What’s up with the snake looking thing?
Yes sir! I keep flint, fatwood, birch bark, a ferro rod and the snake looking thing. It's just a file forged into a flint striker.

I posted these in the "What Did you Buy Today" thread, but figured I'd double post them here.

Council Tools, Flying Fox, Hudson Bay hatchet, Camp hatchet and 24, and 28" Boys Axes. I'm done buying axes. This completes my lineup. Or, am I lying to myself........time will tell. 😁

I got 50 bucks that says you're not done yet, you'll fall off the wagon sooner, rather then later. Most addicts do.

Do you have a council sport utility Jersey Axe w/ bevels, on a 32" handle yet?

I think you need one, just to help round out the collection. Your collection will not be complete, until you have council jersey, or 3.

Harry epstein is only showing one left in stock, you better buy it.

You dirty dog. Lol

I do actually have 1, 3.5 Council Jersey on a 36" handle. It was the first wood handle axe I bought maybe 3 years ago. It's what started me down the Council Tool rabbit hole.

Whew........dodged that enabling. 😂20230329_155940_HDR.jpg

That's a nice one, I think it needs a friend. Another jersey in the shed to keep it happy. :)

I have a 3-1/2 council jersey I bought new back in 2006 or 2007. I don't use it a ton, but it's one of my favorite axes.

I like those Flying Foxes!
I'm wanting to declaw a TT Tommy axe (also 1.75#) & hang on a 24" handle.
Prolly do 90% of the work my Boys axes will, but would pack easy for a backcountry overnight excursion (with a hand saw), or quarter up something bigger than I can drag. Lol
