I'm liking the Feibings leather dye on handles!
Super easy to use & really gives that "old" look I like.
Still a a ways to go on this Collins Red Seal, but getting close to finishing.

I usually hang & sell axes, but I think I'm gonna keep this one.
Shes a hoss.
I know it's a female because she fought me tooth & nail. Lol
Left it a little proud on top on purpose (I like em a little proud).

My next 3 projects..
Kelly Perfect 3.5# (gonna need the most work), someone Polyurethaned the head.

Plumb 3# Jet Wing (easy enough hopefully).

Shapleigh Boys axe (consensus is made by Plumb), its frigging RAZOR SHARP!
Cant find a decent handle for it.

I just work on them little by little.
15 minutes here, 30 minutes there.
Sometimes it's hard to sell them when I'm done. Lol

Kelly Perfect & Flint Edge.
Both are 4 # heads.
Took a MAN to swing all day!

These are the best 4 out of all of the ones I have, the Peavey on the left is head & shoulders better than any of the others, and I have a few others. Best peavey I’ve ever used !!!

My buddy has one of those made by Spiller, neat little axe. Hewing hatchet, shingle hatchet, heard a few names but never used one.

Spiller is good stuff.

Mine is just a old Collins Red Seal hewing hatchet.
Over 2 pound head on a 16" handle.
It's my 3rd one (identical) over the years...
Excellent+ steel combined with head weight really makes it a fun hatchet.

some nice heads there handles always seem to be a problem hatchet handles can be a bit too fat sometimes

I didn’t until last week 36” handles and there alright
