Bought my first Connecticut pattern lastnight on ebay.
3lbs 12oz.
Unmarked, it was $20/shipped!
RARE to find that pattern locally for some reason?
I've only ever seen/handled 1 ever (a Plumb).
Stoked to get it!

Been looking for a Tasmanian pattern, but those don’t come cheap!

I wonder if the Connie pattern is more of a "Softwood" pattern & thats the reason I never see any around here?
I live 1 mile from 1.2M acres of hardwood National Forest.
Think it will do alright in Hardwoods?

You have a top view, should be ok , if it not to slender, rather to be wider.

I bought two on eBay last night, first time I've bought any axes on eBay in probably 12-13 years.

I bought two on eBay last night, first time I've bought any axes on eBay in probably 12-13 years.
I just happened to be on there & a TT Woodslasher Boys axe (6 eye ridges) popped up for like $20/shipped (cost $23.69 total) & went back to the "recently posted" page & that Connie popped up buy it now.
Prolly wasn't on there 1 minute so I bought it also.
Good day on eBay! Lol

Good day on eBay! Lol

I have a council boys axe, I bought brand new back in 2005, used a few times for kindling when I first got it, never used it again.

In a few more years I will be able to sell it as vintage........Lol

Well, I parted ways with Mike because Bobby Branton made me a custom 9" Bowie blade (blade only) A2 tool steel HT'd by him...

I bought stabilized Camel Bone scales & mosaic pins & sent them to Mike Stewart to put the handles on & his new (back then) "Convex" edge on.
Took him 2 years & many of my threats to get it back.
It was excellent tho when received.
Just left a bad taste in my mouth.

Nothing is 100% in the axe game, but my first Connie axe may be a Mann Edge!
I thought it was a Collins when I bought it ($19.99/shipped).
I can see Lew...
Lewistown Pennsylvania?
Its got a hellava ring ring to it!
Much rather it be a Mann than a Collins! Lol
