Both heads came loose in under 10 minutes. So the hang sucks, but the heads are great! That's where I got mine from, Whiskey River. That 5 lber is awesome! And they are definitely priced good.

Would definitely hold onto that I've never seen a 7# either unless it was a maul.

Put a barrel wedge or two in it if it’s not to lose or just rewedge it bigger

Wow I've used mine for a wedge banger and splitting for over a year and neither one worked loose. Maybe they were rushing to get them out and the wood wasn't dried well enough when they hung them?

Not sure exactly.

I have 4 and 5 lb wedge bangers, a 3.5 lb Jersey, a 6 lb and 2, 8 lb mauls, 3.5 lb Dayton and these 2 and the Jersey is the only one that has stayed tight and it's seen a bit of use.

They had 1 barrel wedge and so I put in a step wedge on both. They weren't horribly loose, but loose enough I could feel it in the swing.

I get mine from Tennessee Hickory Handles but you have to order by the dozen from them. You can order them just raw wood with no lacquer.

there good handles for sure @Cat 525 told me about them and so easy to get them
Ordered and I arrange shipping and within 3 days max once invoice is paid
I got 24 or 36 handles on my doorstep
