Try it one more time with the mtron and less timing. It adjust fuel and timing within milli sec. and it'll flow a lot of fuel.
Most may already know how the mtronic works but

I did. It still pops, although not as bad.

I think Joey nailed it best. The mtron is searching for the fastest (yet safe) tune in wood. And at that fastest tune, the ignition is advanced too far and it's giving it too much fuel to not pop/4 stroke/whatever it is. There's a short-circuit with this style of porting. It still runs better than stock with mtron, but it's 10-15% faster yet on carb.
I'm done pissing with it and I'm moving onto the next one
