Here's one of my favorite builds. I think it would be a good contender in the 60cc class. Here it's cutting with a new factory ground chain and the nub of wood I'm balancing is dry cured red alder. I'd love to see it cut with some good race chain and that Ohio wood everyone keeps talking about.:)

Jim:
Just curious what filter you are using, and what RPMs did you tach it out to?

Thanks Jim. [emoji106]
You don't use the metal mesh filters? I bet you could get a little more out of the saw with one.
For Stihl 026s, 036s.

Yes, but only on play/race saws when not cutting the thicker barked wood as this one will be doing.
That fir bark can be like concrete dust. It collects so much dirt and debris over the years. I have a mesh filter for just about every model except the 034's and 036's.

It was running the fleece filter.
It's @Heffalump's wife's saw and he's the only one at the moment who can tell you what the tach says. I didn't put a tach on it while it was here.
I'll try and tach it this weekend. I'm travelling for work the next two weeks, so weekend fun time is limited... :(

I lost track on this thread this thing is huge -- 466 pages on web browser view.

Got some footage today of Dan running my @mdavlee Hacked up 385 doing some free hand milling.
My phone puked a bit with audio getting out of sync from the video ...
I had just put a fresh edge on the chain and she delivered.
32" bar with 8 pin and JGX skip chain round filed. Blew through the rounds that Chris and his brother needed cut up. Fun saw to run.

Got the brother to that saw. Lifted on it in cut to check tune, and it was good. I like the way it runs :). Smooth as butter AV on this saw too.
