It sounds like that because you havent figured out how to tune a carburetor yet. It takes a little time to get used to doing and good at. Take the time to slowly lean that saw out, little by little. Using a Tach is always nice too, if you have access to one.

Pretty lethargic out of the box

The M Tronic 362s (with the round air filter) were a big improvement over the original 362s with the flat filter. Then the Ver II came out, and they are now on the "light side" for a 60 cc saw instead of on the heavy side. I believe the powerhead went from just over 13 lbs to just under 12.5 lbs. For comparison, both the old 262 and new 562 are 13.2 lbs. The early 562s were lighter, but they had a problem with the cases leaking.
