no. and with no air/fuel going through the lowers, its not going to cool as well

Here's a thought. What if.....that saddle stays cooler and doesn't allow the fuel to vaporize. Or maybe it vaporizes on the piston but when it hits the saddle it liquefies again.

In a regular 661, the front of the case and the long tunnels would vaporize it

So Scott, since you build them both so darn well, what is your impression of 661 / 660. I sorta think the 661 can run a bit stronger, but the 660 may have more durability. Do you agree, or am I all wet???

the 661 is a stronger saw. i'm not seeing the problems others are, but I don't have a local brutus er logger using them. if I had to chose one or the other, I would chose a 661.
