ok guys . 462 v 461 v 044 v 441 v 661 v 056 v echo twin
2 cuts with same bar and chain which was 20" and RS stihl brand new loop. besides the echo as that had its own RM chain.
average of the 2 cuts are as follows slowest to fastest.

echo 610 31.4 muffler mod
462 19.6 stock standard
441 16.8 Mastermind ported
056 16.0 stock standard
044 15.47 gasket delete, timing, muf mod, inelt and exhuast porting
661 14.2 muff mod
461 14.15 Mastermind ported

oh we ran Masterminds 241 and my stock but with muffler mod 241. same bar and chain which was a brand new loop RS from stihl.

Thanks Vince, confirms what I have been saying, for a light weight unported saw, those 044 are hard to beat for power to weight.

Would like to see what the 462 does after some mods.

Of course, the 20" bar does not favor the larger saws.

Dustin wilt 7300 very first cuts. Same 20" bar/chain , carb, and vstack that's on my 6400/7910. Only difference is my 7910 Has a 9 pin. Both saws are not broken in. Mine has about a tank and dustins just a few cuts.

I've yet to try one, but know of more than a few folks who think very highly of a ported MS441, including some chimp from the sticks...

I had a 441 i ported and it ran pretty good. Was my first time with that model. I just didn't like the feel of it at all. Av was way to soft with only a 22 inch bar on it. I'll see if I still have vid of it.

That's exactly how I refer to them, in general. "Soft" not dissing them either, it's just not what I look for

I put some new av mounts in it, still felt like crap. Heard people say they feel like a 372 . 372 feels alot stiffer to me.
