She's a whole lot more open now. Runs pretty strong with an 044 carb on it. 3/8 lo pro semi chiz. Dry, hard American Elm
That thing rips.
Have you tried attaching an elbow to the carb for the green weenie filter? You won't be able to use the air filter cover and you'll have to hold your hand down over the filter with one hand to choke it, or you give it a squirt of mix with a bottle in the spark plug hole as a primer. Did you remove the entire choke lever on the 044 carb? Do so and plug the little holes if you haven't.

I've got a v stack on my 066. I figured an 026 would be so over-carbed that I didn't try it. I just removed the choke butterfly. Shaft is still there. The factory choke still works, but the L screw isn't out far enough to allow the choke to pull enough fuel through, so I still have to prime it when it's cold

The shaft holes can be temporarily plugged with two little pieces of 4.5mm tygon and two 2.5mm nail head ends cut to the same length. A tiny dab of glue on the nail lets it slide through without pushing the tubing into the carb and keeps it put until you twist it back out.2016-04-07 01.03.02.jpg

I changed out carbs today looking for the best one. I'd say the wj69 is considerably better than the wj35. I was leaning on it pretty hard trying to feel the difference in torque.
I just bought a tillotson for my 066. Haven't had time to run it though. I fired it up and piss revved if a little, but that's it

Sounds like a torque monster.
