Ported cylinder, triple ported muffler, timing bump, factory squish, HD-12 carb from a 372xp, 044 10mm wrist pin bearing in place of the factory clutch bearing.

Are the factory clutch bearings problematic?

They're plastic caged bearings and I've seen too many let loose to mess around with it. They're fine if you keep them clean and greased and never roast the clutch.

What chain setup were you using? 3/8ths?

3/8 .050 picco super off the roll with nothing done except filing the rakers down. I'd have preferred to not run it that way but i already filed the rakers for a much larger saw and it was my only option.

I don't know. I've been shopping for a good tach. I wish i had fine tuned it before getting on it because it ended up coming out of the cut too lean.

Ok, got the 2100 tuned in a little better.
This is the saw that came from the Auction/raffle that Shaun donated a port job for.

I've been doing a bit of playing around with my drf255 036. Just for chits and gigs and because I already had most of the parts I decided to try a
Bing 48 carb from a 038 on it. Here's my results.
The saw is just rough tuned. I'll have to give it a proper tune in some wood.

I'm unsure what it will do. It was at 15200 with the original carb and would hold 13000 in the cut.
This is unknown territory for me.

It wasn't bad at all actually. Easier then a 044 carb on a 026

Once I get it in some wood I'll know better if it was a success or not. My gut tells me it's gonna be good.

Why did you want to change the carb? Just because, or were you looking for something more?
